still in Cali and not doing much other than the usual eat, nap, walk around, chat with random colombians (for instance had a funny chat with a very young policeman on duty at the plazza de caycedo yesterday), online, dance etc etc...which i really enjoy.
as there's not a great deal to do here, i decided to head back to popayan a few days ago (and stayed the night) because i only stopped there to sleep for a night whilst en route here from pasto. a nice colonial city. went to a religious history museum and got a pleasant tour from one of the two young tourist police (in spanish, which was amusing as he was trying hard to come up with easier explanations whenever i look at him blank with a "no comprendo!" after he'd explain a load of stuff about the paintings)...really nice guys (though i always find it somewhat disturbing when i come across some guys who look so young and yet holding machine guns in combat gear!).
booked my flight to cartagena, where i will begin my 10 days of indulgence in the caribbean coast...looking forward to it! the idea was to have a nice pair of tanned, toned legs when i get back to london. but i think that's not going to happen because they are now badly covered with mosquito bites and scars...sexy!!!
