got up real early hoping to catch the 8am bus to san agustin (a UNESCO world heritage site and home to the largest group of pre-columbian religious monuments and megalithic sculptures on the continent). we got to the terminal 5 minutes late and had to wait for the next one, which was (supposedly) 9:30am.
the bus came and couldn´t get on as it was full so had to wait and wait...we eventually left at about 11am and the bus ride to san agustin was rough!!! the road so so bumpy!!! it had been raining quite a bit in the area and there was a little landslide...causing traffic in the mountain road to stand still (had to wait for the trucks to come in and clear the road).
we eventually arrived at about 8pm in night. the following morning we went horse riding to see the nearby areas (lush valleys and rolling hills) including some stone sculptures carved between AD 100 and 1200. after lunch back in town we went to the san agustin archaeological park and then headed for a little adventure in the afternoon....
