We don't have those in Canada hahah. We have pine trees though lol. When we landed in the Orlando airport, got our baggages, we headed outside right away lol. We took a cab to Seralago Main Gate & Suites.. he said it would cost us $60. So we agreed. We even gave him a $10 tip. Later, we found out it only took $40. When we arrived at our hotel, I was surprised by what I saw. It was nice, despite the reviews I read online. I don't know but I thought it was "perfect" for us. We got a clean room. Air-conditioner was working fine. There were two heated outdoor pools. And there was a small amusement park next door called "Old Town". No complaints. We went to the amusement park every night to eat Funnel Cake (I highly recommend) even though we have Funnel cakes in Canada (Calgary Stampede and Edmonton Capital Ex), the ones in Old Town tasted better. AND they have free soft drinks (or pop if you're Canadian, hehe). There are lots of flea markets in the streets and gift shops. With the short amount of days we had, we were able to go to Aquatica Waterpark and Universal Studios. We spent the remainding days shopping in the two outlets. Orlando Premium Outlet and the Prime Outlet. My goshhh.. we bought sooo many things. Hence why I am so broke now :( But it was all worth it. I'm still HAPPY from this day on because I got to convince my boyfriend to go on the Hulk rollercoaster ride in Universal Studios. He HATES going on the rides, but he did for me. Awww. He was sooo scared though lol. Anyway, long story short... I LOVE MY TAN. It has slightly faded today but oh well.We left Orlando at around 7am, May 19 Monday... *sigh* so early but had no choice. That was what was booked for us. Leaving Florida was really depressing.. ofcourse, when we got back to Canada, back to work/school for us!! lol.
What I can say about this trip: As we have experienced, we would've probably enjoyed this trip more if we had went with a family or group of friends. Orlando is family-orientated. But for young couple like us, we weren't able to do much.
Although it was humid, my boyfriend and I loved the weather in Orlando! How can we not? We live in Canada lol. We enjoyed our first vacation ever. We came from Calgary, AB (that's where he lives) and connected from Houston, TX to Orlando, Florida. We were so excited to reach Houston, lol, but got more excited when we were headed for Orlando. I loved the palm trees.
