Where I stayed
Laurentian University Residences
So I am at university. No, seriously, while I am staying in Sudbury I am staying at Laurentian University residence. It was the cheapest deal for $35 a night. There unfortunately is not a hostel in this city so I had to chose this. It's not bad though. Comfortable, clean, simple and usually with an internet cable in every room. The only down side is that the university sits about an hour outside of town. Which means while I am in Sudbury I will get some exercise. Last night, I actually walked into town, along the board walk I mentioned in the last blog. It was nice and scenic and not really too long. I get a feel for places by walking through them, so I know how to get everywhere. After arriving downtown, I ate at a pub in town for $14 dollars so despite no big city glamour Sudbury does have the advantage of being a really reasonable place to eat. So my total expenses so far including a $3 hot dog at Science North, the ticket for Science North and the IMAX theatre which was $28 dollars, and a $ 9 dollar breakfast, my total is $61 dollars with accomodation included. Not bad. So today I am off to see the largest smoke stack in the world and the Laurentian Conservation area. Wish me luck! Photos will be posted tonight.
