Since I now have a camera again I plan to slightly drown you
all in the pics that you have been asking about! I hope that you don't mind! By the end of the week this was the first week that I did
not feel like I was still trying to settle in. We have now been teaching for 8 weeks! That is nuts! Things seem to be moving more smoothly around the
school. Daniel and I have almost
mastered origami lilies...I mean...we have been teaching a lot! :) Last week I did an origami class with the 5th
graders and I think Daniel and I had as much fun as the girls! The preschoolers are doing so well with
almost all of their letters Asher working hard

! Saturday Asher wrote his name...it was backwards...but he wrote it! The Emerson's guests left on Thursday
and the Miller's new guests got here on Thursday night. Daniel, Elijah and Aidan had an "Indian
Party" last week. In history they
have been studying Indians...I mean "Native Americans." Since we 5th graders have been having history parties
that usually end up being an "all girl" affair the boys decided to have their
own party. They had to postpone
the party a few days because of Elijah's bout with malaria, but in the end they
were able to grill some corn and make tortillas (as you can see in the
pics). We went to Sundana Poe Ayi (spelling
these words is NOT one of my strong points, but you get the idea!) for church this
Sunday. I really wish that I knew
what they were saying! After
church everyone goes around and shakes hands with everyone else and they always
say things to me...and yeah...I got nothin'!
There are several orphans that go to that church. Right now Becky is in charge of an
orphan support fund? I'm not sure
what it is called, but she helps connect people in the states that go to one of
their supporting churches and orphans in the area Elijah and Aidan with their dinner

. On the way home from church we took a slight detour and went
by a boggy area where these beautiful purple flowers grow. They surrounded by miles of grass and a
few scraggly trees. Matt said that
he has never seen them growing any where else. That night we had a birthday party for Abby after
church. After everyone left she
thought it was over, but....wahaha... We "kidnapped" her and blindfolded her and took her to Hotel Kara for a
surprise sleep over with Andrea (her mom), Becky and Hannah. I went up there and we watched her new Barbie movie (So much
drama and suspense ;-) and ate too much popcorn! I went back to their house because Matt and the guests were
going to Ghana on Safari early this morning and I stayed with the kids. I made coffee and biscuits and then
they left and Daniel came over and helped me wrangle kids until 9:00 when Dave
came and got us all and we went up to Hotel Kara to swim Epitam
Epitam
! The weather has been really nice! My room only flooded once this week and
it was only a little. It is
starting to rain less and less.
Dry season here we come!
Oh! I have included a
picture of the bush baby (I didn't realize that I had not put one up!). My French is coming slowly but
surely! There are just SO
many words! :) I have been able to understand a few
things that have been said so that's good! Prayer requests!
We have been getting fuel for the past several weeks since the rains
have slacked up! My head
cold is almost gone so THAT is nice! Please pray that I will have wisdom in dealing with the
kids and life in general...I guess we could all use that prayer huh?! Thank you so much for all of the
prayers on my behalf! They really
do make a difference! Thank you
also for the notes! They are
GREATLY appreciated! It's
always good to hear from you!

Love and Blessings!

From Teresa
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. You're Mom was concerned when she and I were together recently. Sounds like everything is going well. I'm glad. As I've said before, I'm so happy you've had this opportunity.

We miss you.
