Bonjour...bonjiour?...Hello!  Yup, that's right!  I'm trying to learn French, but I am afraid that it is not coming too quickly.  Have no fear, I can say a few things in French and I am supposed to take French leasons once I get to Togo.  I have my tickets, my visas, my luggage and some of my sanity!  I will be working through Tuesday and then will leave on FRIDAY (August 1st)!!!   I found out yesterday that I would be able to take 3 (yes, THREE!) 50 lb bags to Togo!  That was a GREAT blessing and relief since 11 monthes worth of stuff just does not want to weigh less than about 125 lb!    I will be returning in mid-June of 2009..but I don't know any specific dates yet.

I really appreciate all of the support that I have recieved from all of you!  I know that none of this would be possible without all of your prayers, your finiancial support or your emotional support!  Some people have been asking how my fund-raising has been going, so I thought I would let you know!  I have raised all but about $2,000 dollars of the $11,000 that I origionally needed!  THANK YOU!!!  THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!  I have been able to buy my tickets, visas, medjet assistance (air evacuation plan), shots and supplies!  I need about $5,000 to live there for 10 monthes.  That will cover food, transportation, the guard that we have at night (to keep nosey people out) and living in general!  I have about $3,000 of that, but I still need about another $2,000 to cover my time there.  If at any time while I'm gone you feel like you are able to donate any money to my "please-don't-let-me-starve-in-Africa" fund, :-) you can send the money to my church in Byron.  They are handeling the money and the letters for the tax deductable part of it.  If you do need a letter for that, please just put a note in the letter telling Mr.Rick Sharron that you would like a letter of confermation of your donation.  The mailing address at the church is: Byron church of Christ; PO Box 1483; Byron, GA 31008.  Just put my name in the memo line so that he will know!  If any of you know anyone that might be willing to donate money, please let me know and I will get a letter off to them!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful summer!  School is starting back soon and I know that everyone stays busy, but please keep me in your prayers!  Feel free to email me at my gmail account, or facebook me, or message me on here!  I dont' know how much i will be able to check any of those, but I always love hearing from all of you!

Love and God bless!
