20TH JULY 2010 - We had breakfast in our hotel in Prague and then walked up to our pick up point at Plus Prague Hostel.  We left Prague at 8am and then only had one service stop at the worst restaurant in the world called McDonalds and then only a few hours later we arrived in Cesky Krumlov.
We checked into our hostel called Hostel 99 and our booking was for two separate dorms because we were told that is all they had left.  When the guys were sorting out our rooms they realised we were together and checking into separate rooms and then offered us a twin room so we grabbed it.  We were given the “karma sutra” room, that is right, every room has a name but funny enough this room has two twin beds, anyway we thought it was funny.  This hostel is really funky and cool and has a pretty good vibe, it used to be a hospital.  We dumped our stuff in our room and sorted our clothes out for washing which the hostel will do for us and then we went for a walk.  WOW this town is stunning and once again very touristy but so beautiful.  Its quite small and that in itself can be appealing.  We walked around for several hours along the uneven cobblestone roads and watching our step and dodging all the other tourists. We saw two bears in the mout near the castle, they were massive. There is so many gorgeous restaurants, cafes and millions of souvenir shops.  There is a river that runs through this town and its very popular for kayaking.  They also do a pub crawl by rafting down the river and stopping at several places, sounds fun but we didn’t do it.

We came back to our hostel and had a drink in the courtyard.  We then went back into town to have dinner.  We went into one restaurant and waited to be served.  The only two girls working here saw us sitting down and then decided to leave the restaurant.  We thought well we aren’t getting service here so we left and then found them smoking and chatting outside, such great service in Europe - NOT!  We found another restaurant and sat down.  Yeah we got served.  Troy had a feast which baked pork, smoked pork, sausage, sauerkraut, bread and potato dumplings which he enjoyed.  Mary had yummy chicken with camembert and cranberry sauce with salad and wedges.

We came back home for a few hours and then went for a walk at night about 10pm.  We walked around the town and its so pretty lit up at night so hope the photos give you some idea how pretty it is.

21 JULY 2010 - We had a slack morning taking our time and it was nice not to be rushing around getting up and ready for a full on day sightseeing.  I think that is what we really like about here, there isn’t a great deal to see and do and that is fine with us.  We went to the post office to send a parcel home and then went and had breakfast at Deli 99.  It was a nice cafe across the road from our hostel and we had croissants with turkey and cranberries, yum and also had the best hot chocolate we have had for years.  It just tasted like a block of chocolate melted in the glass, it was so good!  We will be back there tomorrow.  We walked around town for a few hours, climbed the tower and saw great views of the town.  It is a hot day today so we laid under a tree in the park which was so nice.  We snacked on bread rolls and diet coke and then walked around a bit more before heading back to the hostel.  It was nice to have a drink and wedges in the courtyard.  After showers Troy had free beer at the hostel and then we headed out for dinner.  We had tortellini and pizza, yum and then we headed back to the hostel where there was free beer night.

22 JULY 2010 - Tears were happening this morning as I woke up to what was 3 years ago Renee’s due date.  My god I wish she was here and I miss her terribly!  We checked out and went to spend the little money we had left.  We went to Deli 99 where we had the very BEST hot chocolate we have ever had ever!  The hot chocolate was a rich milk chocolate that was nice and thick (we were told its just chocolate and frothy milk) but it just tasted like straight melted chocolate, so good!  The chocolate actually stuck to the spoon, yum!  We shared a waffle with sugar and that was our breakfast.  Seriously this was the best hot chocolate ever!

We walked around town for a while to kill a bit of time and then headed back to our hostel to wait for our bus.  We are off to Vienna, Austria.
