Dubai is under construction - I counted seventeen cranes on the horizon.  The airport was big but the terminals did not match the number of planes - we were bused to the terminal, were rushed through security, then bused to the plane at the other end.  It took us over an hour and since we only had 45 minutes between flights due to a delay in Heathrow the plane was waiting - but they did wait fortunate for us.  It was 30 degrees at 8 am so it wouldn't have been the worst place to be stuck for a couple of days!
