well the car is packed, the cats are feed and Ger has been dropped to the airport...its roadtrip time. First stop Medford, Oregon....the sites of the journey up was firstly dominated by dry yellow grass and blue sky and gradually the deep lush green scenery similar to home gradually snuck up on us and there in the distance was a mountain with a snow capped peak.Now after a drive that was nearly 5hours it was nice to arrive and sit by the pool for an hour to take in some rays of sun before meeting Andreas and Kerstin (a  really great couple who once lived in Cratloe and who i met for the first time in 9years at the wedding) for dinner...Thanks for treating us, we could listen to your stories forever!!!

We head back to our hotel after a wonderful dinner and decide to have one drink at the bar...we enter and notice that there is something a foot....yes the old fashioned way of entertainment...Karaoke (wild west style!!) the place was alight with only  disco lights and the karaoke jock was wearing jeans, t-shirt,baseball hat with stylish pony tail and was minus a few teeth and the client-el....we're talking about locals that go there every Wednesday night,now the age group ranges from 50s to a few 80 year olds!! and have i mentioned the air Guitaring we witnessed...wow!! i think if there was ever a competition for air guitar we found our winner!!! we were used for a few songs here ad there and then ended up talking to two travelling sales guys....it happened like you see on tv...they offered to buy us a drink from across a bar...hold on there it just is all very strange but anyway ive decided its no way to live when you have weird products like these guys...one of them sells candy and dog food (what a crazy mix!!) anyway they were in shock that we were even stopping in such a place as "deadford" as a certain person called it.  will say thou i enjoyed the crazyness of it..i never laughed so much and to top it i noticed the sign behind the bar and asked if i could get in to take a pic....you gotta check it out...they take their drinking during pregnancy very seriously and by the looks of it if you drink and smoke while pregant you will have a devil child!! enjoy the pic!
