People were beginning to go there separate ways homeward bound and so my parents and I followed Eoin and Ann up the coast 260miles to Monterey..it got cooler as we went further north and so we weren't so happy with the weather...all the same we took in the views, we drove the 17mile drive around the coast which had plenty stops for viewing opportunities eg ghost tree, bird rock and some overly friendly beach squirrels we also went to visit the rather cute town of Carmel by the sea, where all the houses looked like something from TV.
