This is just a quick entry to let you know about our last day in Vegas. We decided to finish with a bang (literally) by going to the Gunstore.
Disclaimer - Even though the entry says "June 23rd" this actually happened on the 24th but I've had to muck around to get the map to display correctly. Sorry to all you nitpickers that get hung up on stuff like this (dad... are you enjoying this installment, haha).
Day 19 - 24 June 2011:
Ok, so off to The Gunstore we go. Luckily (as we didn't have too much time before we had to get to the airport), we had picked a quiet period.
After getting the rundown from the "gun babes", we each chose a gun package
I was first up first with my Sig P226 handgun. I think I did reasonably well for never having shot a pistol before. Shelly had a go with her Glock 19 (the police officer's weapon of choice) and did really well, saving her paper hostage from the paper attacker.
"Not on my watch sucker!" - Shelly Nowland.
Next up I moved onto my MP5 sub machine gun. I lit up the paper terrorist like the 4th of July. Our instructor thought I was having just a little bit too much fun... Shelly then had a go with a trendy pink AK47. Again she saved the paper hostage with some remarkably sharp shooting. I think Shelly would've "souvenired" the AK if she could.
All up we were in the firing range for about 15 - 20 mins before our ammo ran out... but it was an awesome time!
"Bullets sure do fly when you're having fun." - Shelly Nowland.
We grabbed our sexy Gunstore t-shirts, and our holy targets. By now the place was crawling with people. Lucky we got in when we did because the cab we grabbed just got us to the airport in time. Next stop Denver.
Too-do-loo other truckers (simple cryptic Hangover reference).
Bonnie and Clyde.
