Having said that, the people are extremely friendly and very polite. Went to a bar called Cuffs. Had the look of a old style bikers hang out, but with disco music and mirror balls. LOVED IT! A nice bartender called Arron was asking me about my road trip, whilst keeping me topped up with way too many Scotch & diets (is there such a thing?) He also refused to take any cash from me. Told me I need to save my money for any not so friendly places I may visit!! LOL.
The next day, I decided to take a trip on the monorail to the Space Needle. It was built for the world's fair in 1962. Bit bumpy, and gave me a bit of a shock when it cornered and leaned sharply to the side, giving me a view of the street 50ft below!
Huge lines at the Space Needle, but braved it anyway. I didn't bring a jacket with me, and was just wearing cargo's and a t shirt. Not a big problem on the ground, but FREEZING on top of the tower. Views were spectacular! Unfortunately, I had left my SD card back at the hotel, so pics are on the camera's memory and I don't have the lead to connect to the mac.
As I would be driving for 6 hours the next day, I thought I would be sensible, and have a short afternoon drink at Cuffs... hahahahahaha.
Had a great afternoon/evening listening to CLASSIC disco tunes. DJ was amazing!
I liked Seattle a lot. I wouldn't necessarily go back there, but pleased I went. X
