Dear Blog,
I have been a little slack with my blogs lately. Its been a week since we left Madrid so thought i'd better write about it. We took a nice comfy train from Barcelona and arrived in the afternoon on the Friday. The Hostel was ok, we were in a dorm as double rooms were a little expensive. The city is very nice. Not a whole lot of sights but a pleasant city to walk around. On the Saturday 3rd Nov we spend the day walking around. There are these bar/cafe's around the city caled Museo Jamon, Jamon m eaning Ham. hundreds of huge ham legs hang from the roof and walls. You order what you want, maybe a ham and cheese roll and a drink and stand at the bar like a local. On the Sunday they had a huge Trash n Treasure market, its the biggest in Europe and was very busy. we strolled around there for a couple of hours which was great fun. Afterwards we went to a street nearby that is packed with Tapas bars. we basically hopped from one to another over a few hours and drank beer and ate yummy Tapas. My favorite food in the world. We headed back to the Hostel a little weary and had a little rest and then we were hungry again so we went to a place that sells Calamari rolls. The nicest Calamari rings i have ever had stuffed into a bread roll, fantastic. We enjoyed Madrid. next stop Granada.
