Dear Blog,

We arrived in Barcelona Spain after a long day travelling from Switzerland, we had to take a 2.5 hr train to Geneva and then a flight to Barcelona. We arrived at our Hostel at around 7pm. The Hostel was more like an apartment with 5 bedrooms. The place was nice but we lucked out and got the small room without a window and a bunk bed. oh well we won't be spendingf time in the room so who cares. As we arrived at 7pm we headed straight out in search of food. We found this little tavern and it looked bust so we thought we'd give it a try. Well we were in.luck. We had the nicest Spicy potatoes we have ever eaten, some baby octopus and the best part of all. Sngria! for those of you who are not sure what Sangria is, well you have missed out, it is a kind of Red wine punch i guess hard to explain but very nice and refreshing. I had already been intorduced to this drink back in London by our flatmate who makes a mean Sangria. We walked around the town a but and then had an early night. The following day (Tuesday 30th Oct) we got up and went for a walk down the famous La Ramblas, a long boulevard which is full of life. All kinds of funny life statues from Angels to a man sitting on a toilet, crazy but very funny to see. Barcelona is really a great city and has so much to see and do. There are some very unusual buildings bu Gaudi a crazy Architect, they look like they are from a Dr Suess book. for dinner we cooked at the Hostel and then went for a drink at a local bar. On the 3rd day we went to a Museum which had an old Roman city underneath it. Very cool we spend the rest of the day just exploring Barcelonas streets. This night we spent in and ate some ordinary frozen fish and chips, you get what you pay for. The 4th day was a pubic holiday so everyone was out and about and it was a lovely sunny day. We walked through the city park which was nice and then along the city's Marinas and Beach. As this was our last night in Barcelona we ate at the tavern from night 1 and then went to a bar that was run by the people who also run the Hostel. The bar was one of heaps throughout the area we stayed in. The barman gave us a free Mojito and then we bought a VERY strong cocktail made with Chillean rum. It was nice but nasty. This morning (Friday2nd Nov) we got up early for our train to Madrid. which i will write about in 3 nights time. Barcelona was a city that we really loved. It has a great vibe. I think i am going to make a big call and say that Spain is now my favorite country and it will only get better with 3 other cities to visit in this country. I am tired which is why this entry is pretty boring and as always full of grammar mistakes.
