Hi,
This morning we got up and visited Khao Wang, a hill studded with wat and crowned with King Mongkut's palace. There were lots of pesky monkeys hitching a lift on the tram ride up.
We went for lunch in a restaurant next door, they had no English menu but the woman managed to say fish and rice which we nodded to. It ended up being rather nice and very cheap, which is always good especially after our lavish spending in Bangkok.
In the afternoon we visited Khao Luang and Khao Bandai-it caves filled with impressive stalactites, stalagmites and Buddha statues.
Now we're going for tea and heading for Khao Sok National Park tomorrow. xxxxx

Enjoying the new country!
Glad you're enjoying the new country and soaking up the sights, sounds, food and shopping opportunities!!
Also pleased to see you are continuing to check out local culture by visiting the temples and palaces. Dad and me had a trip to Nostell priory, history, but not in the same league!!! We've had snow and easter eggs but probably not as exciting as Thai boxing and and 'Lady boys'. Take care and keep them coming love mumxxx

Easter
We missed the now, but had a bit of rain and lots of strong winds. Joe got a first in flyball, Zak and Taz a fourth and Jess 6th. Glad you are still finding things to eat that aren't too spicy. And the beers sound to be going down well. love AC&UD

Varied diet
Bec,

Nice to see you have managed to discover a more varied diet but will one tube of Pringles get you through the 8 hour bus journey?
Just googled the national park and it looks excellent from the website. Though not sure about the six varieties of snake that you might find there. However, looking forward to the pictures of the bamboo rat and clouded leopard.
