Hluboka town is an alley of charming buildings and church, but rather touristic ... most of the houses are hotels and restaurants.
Up the hill, stands Hluboka castle, originally built in 13C. But now wears uninspiring British style done in 19C. Surrounded by English garden and group tourists.

Out of town, cycle path goes along Vltava river, it looked scenic but rough. so I took another paved road. Both routes meet at Opatovice, a tiny beautiful village.
Pleasant cycle path (nr.1052) passes Hrdejovice, where I took lunch, and then to suburban of Ceske Budejovice.

Outskirt of the city was boring, except for trolley bus (extinct over 40year ago) and large park, but old town was gorgeous indeed ....Especially Plaza Otakara 2, the town's main square, is the broadest one in Czech Republic, which is surrounded by beautiful renaissance and baroque architectures.

Penzion Centrum located just off the square, large but nondescript room. 1000Kr w/breakfast
