OK, so I missed a day. Pretty sleepy because it Is after midnight! Got to Oxford Friday and turned in the car. Driving in Oxford was awful, but I made it and it was good having the car. Except for the GPS I could have done without the upgrade. But on to the next adventure. At some point in Oxford I lost the pay-as-you go phone I bought when I first got here. So I got an earlier train to London and bought a new phone. But before I left Oxford, I bought a smoothie at the train station and mentioned to the young lady behind the counter that I had lost my phone, she in turn mentioned it to the guy behind me buying coffee. He saw me on the platform and offered me the use of his phone if I needed to call someone. Well, we rode together on the train and talked all the way to London. Certainly made the trip go by faster. His name was Stephen and I am writing it here so I won't forget. He had a fold up bicycle. His job is to deliver cars to people and he uses the bike to get back home.

Arrived in Tonbridge and was met my Karen. Had a visit to one of the local farm markets - nice place. On the way back to the house she stopped at All Saints Church, Tudely. Karen said there was something she wanted me to see. This is a tiny country church and every window was designed by Marc Chagall . Just amazing!
On to the house to just chill and visit with Karen and her husband Tim. Lovely evening!

Got up Sat morn. Took our time to get going. We drove to Spelhurst and visited the church where my great, great aunt was christened. ( For those who do not know that is the word the Anglican church used for baptism) Beautiful church. First one I have ever seen with the chancel not centered in the building. It was in the right hand 1/2 of the church. The other 1/2 was taken up by the organ.

Then on to Tunbridge Wells where we walked around town and did a little shopping! Took pictures of the coolest little gate house on the way home. It was located in Leigh. But pronounced with a long 'i' instead of a long 'e'.  Then out to eat. At a really neat pub with fantastic food. Drat, I've already forgotten its name.

Past my bedtime. Nite All!
