Hi all,

We arrived in Dresden two days ago. We are staying at a Hostel called Kangaroo-stop and as you can guess it is decked out in an Aussie theme. We looked them up on the net before we left Berlin and as they were reasonably priced and close to the train station so we were brave, didn`t make a booking so we could save on the credit card fees and when we rocked up they had beds free which was great! The only thing is the communal bathroom has no curtains for the showers! Did a little bit of sight seeing yesterday and got wet walking to the Cathedral for mass. I couldn't understand a word the priest was saying but it was a beautiful old Cathedral

A lot of Dresden was destroyed in the war but they could rebuild a lot of buildings out of the original material. Today was our last full day in Dresden, tomorrow we are leaving Germany and heading to Prague in the Czech Republic. Today we walked more of the city and went "shopping" in one their shopping centres which was very modern, just like the ones at home. I put shopping in inverted commas because w didn't really do much shopping, well Trent bought a video camera so hopefully when we are a bit more organise we can put some pics and video on the blog for you guys to see.

Its funny how you (well I did anyway) think people on the other side of the world especially in smaller towns than the big cities are going to be so much different. Yes they speak German which I don't understand but as I said above the shopping centre was just the same as the ones at home, people wearing the same types of clothes, with the same hair cuts, so its a big world but we're all just the same... really.

Love and miss you all.
