A beach-y life...
Entry 4 of 6 | show all | print this entry |
Went to Port Dickson a few weeks back...it was a chance to be amongst nature once again so I grabbed the invitation. Port Dickson is about an hour or an hour and half drive from KL (or it can be just 45mins..depending on how fast you drive) and it is the nearest beach area that you can go to. However, most of my Malaysian friends here say it is not as nice as it used to be because the waters are really bad (meaning dirty). I told them not to worry coz I won't be doing any beach swimming..just jump into the pool and enjoy the water there...hehehe...
B picked me up at KL Sentral and we headed to PD. We had late lunch and watched some sports programs first...then we burned some cds into his laptop and just roamed around the beach area...
We just took in the PD air...the place was not really Boracay-type..the sand was dark and not so fine)but it was very, very relaxing just listening to the waves coming into the shoreline and feeling the wind kissing your cheeks...We went strolling around in the car...checking out the other places....PD is a little bit dead right now...according to B it used to be one of the 'most happening' places around but now, it's just a quiet place trying to keep itself afloat, I guess. Hmmm...I think the Malaysian government can try to improve the area and bring back it's luster and charm since 2007 is Visit Malaysia year anyways...
Anyway, while sitting there with just the sand, the sea and the skies surrounding me I closed my eyes and tried to feel everything...just close my mind from all the mundane things and just feel life...feel it soothing me and calming me...being near the beach makes me relaxed and attentive to everything around me...
We watched the football match between Manchester United and Arsenal during that time and it was too bad that ManU lost...oh, well...you can't always win, can u???
We went back the following day coz I got work in the afternoon...But while we were having lunch I just stared at the beach area..the quiet...the stillness...the tranquility of living by the beach really brings a certain type of feeling within me and I wish this would be my life....living by the beach...being amongst nature..with a nice guy and adorable kids...that's the life..
The trip was short but it was sweet...I wish I can go back sooner than I hope....I want to spend another beach-day away from the hustle and bustle of city life....
Yeah, I want a beach-y life.... =)
