Nina and I arrived in Paris early this morning! Our flight was pretty easy and routine and we made it to our hotel just a couple of blocks from Notre Dame. The taxis driver only backed up three different times after a wrong turn (once on a freeway entrance) but we somehow made it in one piece. Despite the exhaustion we were able to make it to Notre Dame (absolutely gorgeous) and the Rodin Museum, which was well worth the 45 minute wait. Many of the artists famous works (Le Penseur and Balzac most notably) are set in an icredible landscape of manicured lazns and beautiful flowers. I attempted to recall all I learned from my modern sculpture class soph year but it didnùt matter. It was just amazing!

Bienvenue a Paris!
I am so happy you made it to the City of Lights. I lived in 1973-74 on the Rue de Bourgogne, which dead-ends into the Musee Rodin. I used to sit in that gorgeous park and study.

Please lift a vin blanc for me. And have a streetside crepe au sucre for me. And know that I am living vicariously through both of you!

Love, Mom
