Only two full days in Sydney--would it be enough to do anything?

After an 8 am arrival, I opted for a "free" walking tour of Sydney, which ended up costing about $20 after taking into account all the water bottles I ended up purchasing.

I pretty much followed the wikitravel itinerary I had printed out, starting out at the gorgeous St. Mary's Cathedral. After that I spent an hour or so touring the historic Hyde Park Barracks, now a museum. Other highlights of Sydney were Mrs. Macquarie's chair (a large sandstone bench where the wife of the colonial governor would sit waiting to spot ships arriving from England), the botanical gardens, the Queen Victoria building, and of course, the icon of Sydney itself, the Opera House.

That evening, I booked a tour of the Blue Mountains and Jenolan caves for the next day. Sadly, the weather, which had been beautiful for the walking tour, had turned cold and misty. I was unable to spot the famous Three Sisters in the mountains, but the day was still quite enjoyable.

Third day here was just a travel day, with a noonish flight to Auckland. Three hour flight + two hour time difference pretty much took the whole day.
