We came to Whakatannee to see if we could swim with the dolphins here, apparently there are loads of them. But, like it had been on the South Island, the weather was bad. Luckily the people we were going with decided to brave it and take us out nonetheless. At least we might get to see them. The waves were massive and we we having trouble seeing over them, let alone spot dolphins in them. So dissappointingly we didn{t get to see them.

One thing we did get to see were more seals, and even better than that we got to swim with them. They zip around you with lighning speed and can move so gracefully through the water. If you get to close they come to the surface and let our a huge bark at you and show thier sharp teeth. Time to back off. They are surprisingly big animals in the water.

So even thoiugh we didn't get to see the dolphins it was still cool swimming with the seals.
