We got back to KL at about midnight. We were knackered. The next day we had a flight booked to go to Sandakan on the Eastern part of Malaysia, on Borneo at 6am. When there we had planned to go to the Turtle Islands National park, the place where thousands of turtles come onto the beach to lay their eggs, supposedly a fanastic sight. But only after we had booked the flights there we had discovered that it costs about 150euro to go watch this!! And thats per person for one night!! That was way beyond our budget. So we had to come up with something else to do. We already had flights booked to fly back to KL from Kota Kinabalu, which is also on Borneo, so we decided to cut our losses and scrap Sandakan. We booked another flight to go straight to Kota Kinabalu instead.

We spent the next day traipsing around KL and finding loads of cool new shopping areas we hadn't found before. To be honest we were kinda happy not to have to get up early for a flight. We went to the city gardens too, which is lovley. Its up on a hill looking across the city and it has a bird sanctuary, butterfly park and even a mouse deer park. All very nice indeed.

If anyones ever in KL and fancies a nice burger (because you will get sick of Asian food) theres a gorgeous one available on a street stand on the top of Jalaan Sultan. Don't know if it was because I was starving that it tasted better, but it was still gorgeous.

Anyway, we went back to bed and got up the next day for our new flight to KK.
