Okay, I made it to my new home for the next 24 days. It's not bad! I managed to luck out and get the double room. So I can really spread myself out. I took some pictures but cannot get them to download to here. (I will have to consult my personal pc guy and get back to you.)
This being my 4th time in Ireland, I noticed it was exceptionally green. They talk about the many shades of green, etc. I never really noticed it until today. I guess they have been getting an extra dose of rain. Dublin had flash flooding last night. I hope it's not coming our way.
My two housemates are Regina and Barbara. They both seem very nice. Katy's room is right beside me and ready for her arrival. Only her and I will have to share the bathroom and shower. We also have a kitchen to use. It has a small stove and frig, but hey, it will do
It is now 7:36 your time and 12:36 pm, Ireland time. I have not slept since 6:40 AM on Wednesday, July 1st! I am signing off and trying to take a 2 hour nap. I'm running on empty.
We have our orientation at 4pm. They are then treating us to a picnic, 4th of July style. Get this, we even get free alcoholic drinks!!! What college in the US would do that?
Talk to you soon...I'm off to my nap. Wouldn't you know that the sun is finally trying to peek through the same time I'm trying to rest! It doesn't look good.

How's your 1st Day?
Glad to hear you made it to Ireland safely. We had a considerable amount of rain yesterday evening (downpours actually) so if it rained there, you can feel at home.
Were you able to get a nap?
Did they get the concept of the 4th of July picnic correct? That is interesting that they include alcohol... was it only beer?
Have fun.
Marie
Ooopss I guess it did post!
Sorry for the doplicates. It kept giving me a server error so I didn't know it went through. Just ignore the 2nd, 3rd and 4th messages.... LOL
