So, here we are at last, Packed and ready to go, well almost.
Just A few weeks to go and still so much to do, finishing research, checking on Visa applications,and buying those 'must have' gadgets ... the self inflating, solar powered, light weight, travel sink...you know,'just in case'.
We have a master list of 'must see' destinations and a secondary list of 'nice to see' destinations, and a loose plan of how to get from one to the other in the correct order. The third (and far from final) list contains the 'things we've always wanted to do'list. eg;white-water rafting, bungee jumping, shark diving, staying in bed till 10:30am, etc But apart from that we will be making it up as we go along. (dont tell Jane she thinks every second has been meticulously planned!).
Final words before 'the off'....We will attempt to publish updates as often as opportunity allows, while we are on the road, without making the process become a chore or producing regular but boring and uneventful entries (like this one).
We are primarily making this travelogue for selfish reasons (to record and look back on our adventure)we do hope however that you find it in parts, interesting , useful, even inspiring, and hopefully amusing.
I make no apologies for my butchery of the English language as all entries will be made from some manky Internet cafe 'on the run'.
PS...Any mistakes in this entry are probably due to the fact that I am typing this with my feet... having lost the use of my arms following a brutal regime of inoculations, against everything from 'tick borne encephalitis' to 'jingoism'.
