I got out of customs in one piece and am now sitting on the bus I had feared I wouldn't miss. I am pretty exhausted and am pretty sure that I will sleep through this one finally. I haven't got more than an hour of sleep since before leaving Seattle almost 24 hours ago! the bus is on the expressway and the sun is just setting- lighting up the sky a pinky gold color. What a welcoming! The sun sure is big over here and the sky is not as smoggy as I remember it being when I was here in the summer two years ago. Leaving the plane, it was 75 degrees!
honestly, the only thing i can think of other than the sun is how beaten i am. travelling really took it out of me! i attempted to call home and my contact at ARI but the pay phones were in some foreign language  (hehe) and i couldn't figure it out for the life of me! plus, i was terrified i would miss my bus then i'd have to wait 3 hours!
All along the narrow nighways are thick trees and bushed that look evverything like the one sin totoro! no, in all honesty, totoro and flying cat bus could jump out of a tree and on top of this bus any minute :)  ~it's naptime

you are very courageous
I am very impressed that you are doing all of this Meaghan. I would be very nervous about making all these connections and doing all that you are doing.........and with no sleep!! Really this is a very special time....trip of a life. Have fun.
