I believe we are passing over northern California right now, lots of farms and the Rockies look like they go North-South forever. The attendant said we'd be arriving in LA in 30 minutes. As we were leaving SEATAC, the sun was rising, and Mt. Rainier looked like Everest... Is it just me, or do most Seattleites feel a strong connection to the mountain we occasionally catch a glimpse of behind the city skyline? I love it! And the pictures turned out good too. I have an empty seat next to me (yay) but the man sitting on the other side of it is very nice and we've been chatting since the plane took off. I always dread awkward conversations with strangers you're forced to sit next to on long flights. This man has interesting connections to Asia working for a company that imports surf gear, and smells clean. I have my fingers crossed for an equally suitable neighbor on my later, much longer flight.
