We left the idyllic Phi Phi for Krabi on a comfortable boat and took a taxi to Ao Nang Beach, not far from Krabi town.
The first guest house we stopped at was good and had a swimming pool so it was a bit of a no brainer decision whether to stay or not. After having a swim in the pool that afternoon we did a bit of exploring around the resort before relaxing back at the hotel. The next day we walked down to the beach and had a relaxing day on the sand. Theresa bought a bat and ball set to keep us entertained in the sun. On our last full day in Krabi we took a taxi boat around the coast to the posher beach of Rai Ley where all the big, expensive resorts are. The sand was smoother here, well worth the day trip, and we made up a new bat and ball game, (Paddleball). The little boat which took us to Rai Ley we thought only seated eight, but on the way back 11 people crammed in! Some saddo informed everyone that the journey there had taken seven minutes, but back had taken over 20 mins because of the extra weight. (Maybe the current had something to do with it also??)
That night we booked our onward travel as well, down the coast to Ko Lanta; our last stop in Thailand. Love, Theresa and Mark xxxx More thumbnails ...
