Amazingly, the first leg went OK. We made it to Dulles airport in Washington DC. After a few moments of trying to get on an earlier flight via standby to San Francisco, we gave up and decided to take the 9:30 am flight. It puts us into San Francisco with very little time to change planes, but hey, it's an adventure.
