I left Cologne by train in the early morning of the 12th to meet my friend Till in his home town of Hannover . Upon my Arrival in Hannover I was greeted and given a brief driving tour of the city followed by dinner and happy hour cocktails. This was a great start to the evening but only a taste of what was to follow. After watching the USA world cup game we decided to press on to another bar for some more drinks, which included numerous typical German beers and shots by the tray full.. Needless to say the night continued in this fashion until the sun came up.
The following morning was a little rough so we did the best thing for a hangover and went for a long long bike ride through the countryside and to the other side of the city. OUCH.. The ride was actually very nice and not as bad I imagined. The surrounding area of Hannover was beautiful, filled with lush green landscape and never ending bike trails.
Over the next two days we watched tons of soccer, drank numerous good beers, and ate copious amounts of meat cheese and bread. None of which I have any complaints about.. In between eating, drinking, and viewing I was able to tour the city via bike and see a really cool castle that belongs to the prince of Hannover.
