Just a quick hello and Happy New Year - in order to include a few photos. Will update the text sometime soon. Christmas in France means: climbing santa claus decorations, oysters, smoked salmon, turkey.. and fresh bread - the addiction must be strong when the boulangerie is open on Christmas Day - pauvre boulanger (ère)!
Visit to the beach essential on Boxing Day! Okay, so some of us were still wearing gloves and hats...
Here is a point for the postal system in France - an amazon book ordered, arrived in less than 2 days!
Voting in Canada's election - downloaded Application form for registration and special ballot - 'for electors who reside in Canada but are AWAY (inside or outside Canada) from their electoral districts' ....surely there must an acronym for this....AFRSB, FEWRICBAA(IOC)FED

. Posted the form from our LITTLE town of Hérépian at noon on 20 Dec. 'Ottawa' received and sent us our voting package on the 21st Dec (only 6 hour time difference) and we received it again in our LITTLE town of Hérépian on Boxing Day!!!!!!!!VISIT TO FLORENCE
Overall - beautiful and well worth all the miles of walking - Lee - still do not know which Piazza was in A Room with a View!
First snow in 21 years, this and fog grounded all flights 2 days later - we were bused to Pisa for flight to Barcelona!
Line up outside of Galleria Dell Accdemia - to avoid this - a simple 21 euros to reserve an entrance spot! Coffee in a warm café won the coin toss!
