Well the first week went pretty fast.
Here we Go
I'll start with the flight. A tiring 24 hours on the go from Brisbane to San Fransico via Taipei.Justin, Shar and the boys picked us up from the airport for a 2 hour ride to Discovery Bay.
Are we there yet!
This week has been spent recovering from jet lag, spending time with family, meeting all the neighborhood kids ( the Aussies are a bit of a novelty and the doorbell rings regularly with young girls asking for James and Phil) Bev and I have been busy looking at Motorhomes.

We have pretty well settled on the Coachmen Mirada because it conforms to Aussie specs and fits our criteria of being late model and has a slideout. The one downfall is it runs on "Gas" All the diesels are to wide to register in Oz.

I passed the written 36 question Drivers license test first go with only 4 wrong. I was pretty chuffed as some of the road rules here are as different as driving on the other side of the road.I have to have a US license to insure the RV. I'm booked for my practical next week.
Had a look at a house boat today with a view to touring some of the 1000 miles of waterways here in the Californian Delta System.
