Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trip – Day 5: Confluence, PA to Connellsville, PA

We woke up late and started late because this is the shortest leg of our ride at 31 miles. The distance was dictated by the available campgrounds, and we will still only have less than 50 miles to Pittsburgh on Day 6.

Because it was short, and also downhill, we also rode our fastest pace, completing the 31 miles in about 2 hours and 15 minutes…not including the time we spent in Ohiopyle enjoying a large pizza!  The ride was very scenic, and we rode over several very cool bridges.

Our campsite was located right next to the Allegheny Passage, which was an added benefit.  We arrived in plenty of time for the girls to swim and watch a movie.  We are all excited to arrive in Pittsburgh and complete the ride tomorrow!
