June 12 - by Emma

Today we woke up and drove to Zion National park. On the drive we stopped at a National Monument called Pipe Spring.  When we got there we went on a tour.  Before the tour we had a bit of time so I fed a horse, and he was really cute. Then we went on the tour. The tour was in a house and church that the Mormons built in the 1860's. The house was pretty big, and it was only used for one family. We went into a room, and the ranger showed us how they used Morse Code over the telegraph.  To me it sounded like a bunch of beeps, but for them it is a message that they understand. When we left the house, we saw some ducks in the spring, and there was a duck with an afro which was really funny. Then we kept on driving, and when we got to Zion we went in the visitors center to get maps and information. Finally we drove to our campsite where we ate dinner and went to bed.
