May 21 – by Madison

Today we went to the pool and then we went to Las Vegas. We went to the pool first because it was 100 degrees outside, and Las Vegas looks cooler at night time because of all the shining lights.  At the pool we played with Emma's raft and played with the water gun.  After about 2 hours my dad came to swim with us.  He swam with us for about 5 minutes, but then he told us that we were fighting too much so we had to go back to the RV and do an IXL.  We had lunch and then we did the IXL.  The bad thing was I chose to do a hard IXL and we weren’t allowed to go to Las Vegas until we finished.  After about 2 hours of working I finally finished.   When we got to Las Vegas the first thing that I noticed was all of the bright lights.  I liked all of the bright lights because the made the city look prettier than it really was.  We walked around for a little bit and then we decided to go inside one of the buildings to see what it is like inside. What we saw were really loud gambling machines and lots of people smoking and drinking beer.  I didn’t like the inside of the building because they were really smoky and I couldn’t breathe that good.   One of my favorite parts of the city was the M&M World.  I liked this because it was probably the only building that wasn’t smoky or had a casino.  I also liked it because M&M’s are my favorite candy.  After we left the store we went to the Paris area of Las Vegas.  Once we got there we saw the Eiffel Tower.   I liked the Eiffel Tower because it was bright and it looked like the real one in Paris.  While we were walking we saw someone who was spinning his arms in all different directions.  I thought that this was cool because I don’t think that anyone else can do that.  At the end of the show I learned that he was on America’s got talent.  After this we decided to go back to the building that we started at.   On the way back we saw a ton of pictures of naked ladies on cards that men were passing out.  When they saw us they would not give us one, but we still saw many of the cards on the ground.  My dad said that these girls are waiting for someone to pay them go on a date, which is bad.  Once we got back we went to McDonalds to get some ice cream because Dairy Queen was closed.  Finally we got a taxi ride back to the RV resort.  I had a pretty exciting day in Las Vegas, but one day was enough and I am ready to leave. My favorite part was the M&M Factory and my least favorite part was inside of the casino buildings.
