Entry by Katelyn

I had a really Great day the reason I had a great day was because we were outside and doing a lot of things. The first thing that I did was go to the Fort Pulaski.  Fort Pulaski Is a National Monument.  At Fort Pulaski I learned a lot.  The construction of fort Pulaski started in 1812 and took 18 years to build.  The whole reason that fort Pulaski was built was not for war, but to protect Savanna from any invaders.   The people who built the fort were the confederate soldiers.  A little bit later the Union Soldiers Attacked the fort and much of it became damaged.   That is what I learned in the fort.   While we were walking back from the fort we saw an alligator in the moat surrounding the fort! When I saw it I felt scared and happy at the same time because it was my first time ever seeing an alligator.  After that we walked through the beautiful town of Savanna. While we walked we saw a ton of pretty trees with stringy stuff on them.  I think that Savanna Georgia is one of the most beautiful towns I ever saw. I had an amazing day.
