Today we went to a Phillies game. It was a lot different than the games in Philadelphia because it was so much warmer and whenever I looked up there were palm trees everywhere. It was 80 degrees outside but it felt like it was 100 degrees out. We were sitting right in the sun so it was even hotter! We tried to get some signatures but we were too far up, I was so mad. You have to be in the first five rows and we were sitting in row 8.
We watched the game but we were also hoping that the clouds would come and give us some shade. After the 5th
inning we went up to the first base side since it was shadier up there. On the way we saw a couple of people trying to sell some food and beer. We saw one person trying to sell some lemonade and they said that people came every morning and squeezed the lemons. We saw that at the bottom of the stand we saw bottles of the pure squeezed lemons with a price tag on them, so you can't always trust the vending people.
On our way back our seats we bought some Rita’s water ice, I got mango on the top and tropical fruit punch on the bottom. It felt so refreshing because we were so hot. When we were done the water ice we left when the twins were winning by 1 point. When we got back to the campground we went swimming. My dad kept tickling me and I almost choked on water. After we were done swimming we went into the RV to have dinner and then we played scrabble. `

Today we went to another Phillies game.
We went a little bit later because we knew what was going to happen. When we got there we split up so it would be easier to get some signatures. Emma and I went to sit in section 119 and my dad and Katelyn sat in section 118. We sat there for about 25 minutes and then we went down to get some autographs.
We got a minor league player first, his name was Tripp. Then we got the first base coach, his name is San Perlozo. Then the pitcher Vance Worley came and singed our bat. So far we were halving a very good day. After Hunter Pence was done his warm-ups he walked over to Emma and said, "Here you go cutie, here’s a ball". Right after Emma got the ball he started signing bats. Katelyn got his signature on her bat. I was right next to Katelyn but was so much cooler on this section of the park. I was so much happier because it was cooler. We watched the game and the Phillies were winning 6-4, Hunter Pence was playing a good game so we were lucky that we got his signature and ball.
When we left the stadium we went to Walmart because we needed propane, socks, a picnic table cover, and sunscreen. We shopped and then we went back to RV so we could start dinner. Katelyn and Emma went swimming and Grammy and I watched. After they were done swimming we went to eat dinner. We had turkey burgers, tomatoes, and pineapple stuffing.
Then we went to the shuffle ball area to play shuffle board. I beat my dad and he is very good so I was happy. I had the best day ever. March 19 - by Katelyn
Today we went to our last spring training game.
When we went to the spring training game we did the same thing as usual, go to the fifth row to get our baseball bat signed. Our first signature today was Vance Worley. Since I already got Vance on my bat I got him on my hat. I love it when the players come because I barley ever get any signatures, and I feel good when I get them.
After I got Vance Worley I got the hall of famer Ryne Sandburg to sign my bat. Ryan Sandburg’s signature is so big and you can’t even tell what it is. After that, just when I thought that I would not get any more signatures Cole Hamels, Kyle Kendrick, Cliff Lee, and Joe Blanton! It was really funny because Cliff Lee took my miniature bat and hit Kyle Kendrick’s butt. When we got all of our signatures we went to our seats. After that it got too hot so we went inside of the gift shop and got dad a present.
Then that we sat down for a little While and watched the game. Next we went and got Rita’s water ice. Then we sat down again. Towards the end of the game we went to the corner of the seats. We went to the corner of the seats because we were going to get some signatures, but everyone went past us. Hunter Pence came past us last and I think that he likes kids because dad said “please can we get a signature, the kids love you” and he looked us in the eye and came over. Then he signed my hat. That is why he Hunter Pence is my favorite player. After that we went to the pool. Then we ate dinner and went to bed. Today I think it should have been St. Patrick’s Day because I was a lucky Irish kid, because I got many signatures.
