(Entry by Emma)

Today we drove about 3 hours to Havre, Montana to pick-up my mom at the airport. The Airport was small because it is in the middle of nowhere.  When the plane landed we were so excited when we saw my mom walk out.  We gave my mom so many hugs. She told us that the plane was so tiny.  Then we went out to dinner and drove to our campground.

(Entry by Katelyn)

Today I woke up while my dad was driving.   It was cool because all of the sudden we saw mountains with glaciers on them over the horizon.  After we drove for a while, we arrived at our campsite at Glacier National Park. We went to the Ranger Station and got our Junior Ranger books and figured out what we would do tomorrow.  We also listened to a ranger talk about Bald Eagles, and learned about the problems that almost made them become extinct.

My trip from PHL to Havre took about 15 hours. It was long. Havre is a little town and the airport had 1 employee. I flew in from Billings to Havre (but had to stop at another small town on the way). I don't like flying in the little planes, especially ones that make extra stops. It was so lovely to see the girls and Mike. All the girls had on their yellow Fork Peck fishing T-shirt. And Mike even shaved before meeting up with me. For the first 4 weeks of the McGovern trip, I was very happy to have alone time. It was wonderful to be by myself and do my own thing. After a while, I did miss the family. And despite the long trip to meet up with them, I am so glad I am at home with them in the RV. Once I met up with the family, the hardest part was giving each and everyone of the kids enough attention and alone time (time alone was almost impossbile in an RV).

As I am reading the new entries, I am reminded of a funny story that I think I should share. It was lovely to see my husband and girls after 6+ weeks apart. Katelyn and her sisters looked refreshed and healthy. However, i noticed scratches on Katelyn's face. So, I asked about them and was told that daddy sent Katelyn and Emma to the back bedroom in the RV to fight it out one day. Since the 2 girls were not being nice and bickering all day. Mike was frustrated so he told the girls to work in out in the back. So, I guess the girls actually fought to work it out. Mike later told me that the 2 girls were in the back for an hour plus "working it" out. Emma was so cute that she told her sister Katelyn that she loves her but sometimes she just gets frustrated with Katelyn because Katelyn doesn't listen. And that Emma really wanted to work it out because she doesn't want to be in the back of the RV anymore. Katelyn (with some inherited stubbornness from her mom and dad) did not budge. And finally I think Emma gave Katelyn what she wanted to end their "fight". So I guess it was fair. Katelyn got scratches and what she wanted and Emma got out of the back of the RV.
