I have not mentioned much about the weather, but so far it has been great, with sun every day! It has been cooler than expected since we left Philly in the mid-90's, but that is fine as long as there is no rain. It actually went down to 37 degrees 2 nights ago in Boston, which is well below normal, although it has been going up to about 70 degrees by mid-afternoon. The forecast is showing some warming over the next week, but as we continue north the temperature should stay about the same for us. As long as the sun stays with us we will not complain!
Plymouth Plantation was very nice, and the kids certainly liked it.
The plantation closed at 5PM, and we were the last ones out at 5:30!
The drive to Maine (Acadia National Park) is over 300 miles and close to 6 hours. My plan is to leave by 6am so we can pass Boston by 7am. Otherwise, traffic will be quite bad and it will really delay us. We plan to make several stops along the way - Nubble Light and Kennebunkport. My hope is to break the trip up and to still arrive at the Acadia Visitors Center by 6pm when it closes.
