Checked back into YHA and went straight to bed for a while. Arranged to the meet the Meath guys later for a drink.
Before heading out for the night, we checked up on the progress of our Didgeridoo. In the shop, Jay knocked over a stack of other people's didge's! Yikes! It was all OK though, none were damaged. Found ours eventually, and it looks and sounds brilliant - can't wait to get it home.
Headed up the street to a bar that was showing Australia -v- Uruaguay world cup qualifier. Australians aren't really interested in football - rugby is more their sport - but the bar was buzzing.
Met and English and Australian couple and got chatting for a bit before the guys came. Watched the match - Australia won on penalties then headed on out to Paddy Shenanagan's Irish Bar.
Tracy nearly had a Sydney moment when she got stopped for ID (it's compulsory or
something). The bouncer brought her up in front of everyone and gave her a slap
on the wrist and told her to enjoy her night. Choo choo.
Band were pretty shit but we had good craic anyway. The place packed up really quickly.
Basically stayed there all night (and a good bit into the morning). Said cheerio to the
guys - they were brilliant craic - really good people and we'll definitely be keeping
in touch.
Had a really lovely time in Airlie and were sad to leave :(
