Hey everyone,
Arrived in Noosa from boring boring Brisbane. Checked into Halse Lodge YHA - absolutely class. It's an old colonial building with loads of character and really friendly people. There are turkeys and iguanas just walking about the place - it's mad.
Had a welcome meeting that evening where they told us all about the lodge and where things were. We also got a free glass of wine (we know it doesn't sound like much but it is considering the last week we had). We booked our trip for Fraser Island from here instead of going via Hervey Bay. We heard there isn't much in Hervey - just a gateway to Fraser so we're going to miss it completely.
Took a walk along the beach and saw about 3 dolphins which came up to shore while people were swimming and boogie boarding - cool. They didn't seem that worried and stayed swimming about the bay for a good while. Sweet.
The bus was picking us up at 6.30 am so we just took it easy and read for a bit.
