G'day cobblers!
(sorry had to say it)
Well we arrived in Melbourne and got our accommodation sorted eventually - waited at the airport for 1 1/2 hours!!!
Anyway arrived at St. Kilda Base Backpackers. This place was like a hotel - really funky rooms. Had it's own bar and fish swam beneath your feet. That said the kitchen was disgusting. Went to bed for a few hours after a nightmare stay at the airport.
St. Kilda was a really cool place. Cafes, bars and loads of shops along the main street. So we headed out for a dander and Tracy picked up new shoes
The next day we headed into town to do a bit of shopping and try to get to the Victoria Market. Turns out that the Market was closed that day so we ended up taking the trams and buses around the city. Really beautiful buildings and really cool people.
Next day we headed early for the Market. The place was huge. Got the tram back to St. Kilda and went to the beach and just chilled out around the seafront. Went on a pub crawl that night finishing up in the hostel bar where there was a wet t-shirt competition and it was ladies night so they got free champagne!!! Jay was disqualified from the wet t-shirt competition coz he was too saucy for it.

Beach at St, Kilda
. Went to the bar later that night and met two farmers called Tom and Ben. So we all entered the pub quiz which was very funny (questions like true or false - is human poo 65% water?). The answer is false - its 75% just in case you were wondering. The next day we headed into town to do a bit of shopping and try to get to the Victoria Market.
