Well folks, Tracy was in hysterics but I simply had to do it. It was the best day for weeks (weather wise) - you could even see Mounts Tongoriro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe (Mount Doom in Lord of The Rings)!

We jumped at 12,000 ft. What can I say - it was amazing! It was funny though because I wasn't at all nervous during the whole preparation and the flight up. But as soon as I got to the edge and looked over I thought "holy shit". Then before I knew it we were out in mid air freefalling for 45 seconds at 250 kmph. As soon as we were in the air all the nervousness disappeared and it was brilliant. The views were amazing - we were right above Lake Taupo and I could see the volcanos in the background.

I even got my instructor to have a handy cam to capture every minute of it - facial expressions and all which are very funny according to Tracy. My mouth completely dried up so that when the parachute came out and there was utter silence the guy asked me how I felt while still on camera and I couldn't talk. Nightmare (but funny on the DVD).

Still get shivers when I think about it. Show you a copy of the DVD when I can.

After the sky dive we headed to The Craters of the Moon (mud pools and a geothermal area) - spooky. We then headed to the Huka Falls which were class. Were a bit pushed for time though so didn't get a chance to do any of the walks in that area. Pity - stupid Jay and his sky diving!!!!

Left Taupo and headed for Wellington (6 hours). Booked into the YHA which was good. Absolutely knackered by the time we got there so we decided to have a quick walk about town. Stumbled across a nice bar and stayed there and got pissed till 2 in the morning (it was the band's fault - they were too good).

The next day was spent seeing more of Wellington and doing some shopping (Tracy's fault).
