Mallacoota is another beautiful little fishing town. The weather was perfect again so we spent a lot of strolling again the many walking tracks.
After leaving Mallacoota we stopped off at Gypsy Point which is another fishing spot where Ray has spent some time. It is beautiful, quiet area, no shops but plenty of accommodation available.
Next stop was Marlo for lunch. Again Ray has spent time fishing in this area where the Snowy River runs into the sea. It is a beautiful drive out to Marlo
Next stop, last stop, Lakes Entrance. We were still hanging on to the lovely weather but knew it could not last. This morning we awoke to rain and it has rained most of the day. We have been warned that there is more to come but we cannot complain as we have had a dream run with weather for the last 5½ months.
We rugged up in our coats, scarves and hats and braved the elements to take a walk along the main street to see John Brady's sculptures from the stumps of cyprus trees. It was certainly worth the walk, fantastic work. We arrived home wet and cold and have been assured that this is what we should expect when we get home.
We can't believe this is the last night of our trip, where the hell did that time go? We have had the most wonderful time, loved every day and seen so much of this beautiful country.
We are both very excited to be seeing our wonderful families and friends again, the time has gone very quickly but it seems a long time since we have seen them. Not long now........yipee!
We intend to write a summary of our trip when we return so keep tuned.
