Show trip route
Whilst we were setting up camp a couple stopped off for a chat, it turned out they live at the end of our street. We went for drinks the next night and ended up having dinner and a great night.
One of the attractions at Nambucca Heads is the V-Wall Breakwater also known as the Graffiti Gallery. This rock wall gives visitors the opportunity to paint their own postcards on a rock. Mementos from all over the world are on display, including cartoons, paintings, poetry and several "will you marry me" messages. I did write a message but I guess after a few showers it will disappear.
Another attraction is the 5km pathway from the V-Wall to the Pacific Highway with storyboards along the way relating to the shipbuilding yards and mills who operated in this area in the late 19th century
Another first on this trip - Ray and I sitting up in the hairdressers together, drinking coffee and looking like we do this every week. Little did they know I have been doing my own colour and cutting Ray's hair for the past 4 months, well, maybe looking at us they probably had a fair idea we needed some professional attention.
Our neighbours are moving north to Yamba today and we reluctantly head south. The weather is starting to become a bit cooler, still in shorts but the longs are not far off.
