80kms south we arrived at Litchfield National Park, one of the Territory's most spectacular parks, dominated by a huge sandstone plateau with numerous cascading waterfalls.
We set up camp in the Wangi Falls camp site. It was a great camp, no power but toilets, water, and showers (cold). It was beautiful and quiet and very private. Just a short walk from the park and we were at Wangi Falls which were magnificent. Unfortunately the plunge pool was still closed due to the late heavy rains and the chance of crocs still being in the area. We did the 1.7kms walk across the top of the falls, stumbled over rocks and finally made it to the other side.
Tolmer Falls and Florence Falls were also spectacular, and Greenant River was so peaceful, we both agreed we could have pulled up our chairs and just sat and watched the crystal clear running water.
Back to the camp for another quiet night and once again another great place to remember.
