Made it! And it was worth every single step it took to get there. It was definitely one of the best days of my life. Seriously! Below are some highlights; please do check out the pictures.

Highlights (not in any particular order):

**The beautiful (cloudyish) sunrise

**We were able to get away from the bulk of the tourists on lesser traveled trails

**The secret lunch spot where we got away with eating our food (you're not techincally allowed to bring food in through the gates and the security guards can be a bit intense about this). Cheese, bread and avocado. Yum!

**Two summit hikes (Huayna Picchu and Huchuy Picchu)- both needed to be in line at 7am for for both.

**The late afternoon rainbow AFTER most of the tourists left. We almost had the place to ourselves. If you haven't gone to Machu Picchu and plan to, take the last bus back to town.

**SHFC No.4 (Fook Yeah!!)

**Lots of amazing views!

**A nice siesta- mostly away from people

**The Inka Bridge, Temple of the Moon, Gran Cavernas... all fantastic!

**The do-it-yourself Machu Picchu passport stamp

**Antonio's excellent guide talks

I may add to this later, but internet is getting harder to come by.

As always, thanks for reading/looking.

A PS random observation: the wanning moon almost looks warped down here. I've made a note to look into that... Perhaps it's all the coca tea I have been drinking?

Hey lady! Finally had a chance to get caught up on all your aventuras! LOVE the pictures! ¡Qué sigas adelante sin nauseas, dolores de cabeza, fuego, ni caídas de alturas extremas! : )

Thanks for the comment and for reading HAM! I just now read Las Alturas de Macchu Picchu. Amazing! A good reminder that I need more Pablo Neruda in my life. I am finally feeling better... I understood most of your message on my own. :) Remind me to tell you the story of the futbol game when I get back.
