"My home city, my beat, the gorgeous, famous 'city that never completely wakes up', Cape Town had no super-heroes. Not a single caped crusader, web slinger or alien super-being watched over this metropolis! Given the crime stats, I decided the situation needed immediate attention."
So begins a short story sent to IOL by reader Gareth Pike because he thinks "everyone just needs a bit of a laugh these days, the news being mostly rather gloomy!"
