This is another nice old town although it's rather larger than Copan.
The cool thing about Antigua as far as I'm concerned though is the fact
that it is surrounded by volcanoes.
I made it up to the top of a volcano eventually - the first attempt was
stuffed up because daylight was still in effect in Guatemala so I
showed up an hour late - and saw some lava. There wasn't that much on
the day that I was there which was a bit disappointing, I've talked to
others who were able to walk right up to it and stick a stick in it but
it wasn't flowing enough for me to do that on the day that I was there.
Still a pretty cool experience.
