Santa Marta is a city more to my liking. The beach is about 100 meters
from the hostel but it is so full of locals swimming that there isn't
much point in going there for that.
More interesting is the stuff around Santa Marta. There is Tayrona National Park which I went to for a couple of days and the other really cool site is Ciudad Perdida .
